About

Brass Roots Productions is an arts organization that connects artists, audiences, and education through music, culture, and creative collaboration. Our work is built around three pillars: representing and supporting artists, producing performances, concerts and festivals, and offering educational experiences for musicians and music lovers alike that foster creativity, professional development, cultural exchange, and a deeper appreciation of music through its history. We create projects that honor artistic traditions, encourage new voices, and bring people together through shared experiences that celebrate diversity, inspire learning, and enrich our communities.

Marc Chillemi is a musician, bandleader, educator, composer, and founder of Brass Roots Productions with more than 35 years of experience in the music industry. After touring nationally and studying jazz, Caribbean traditions, and the music of the African diaspora, he made Maine his home, where he has spent the past 25 years performing, teaching, collaborating, and raising his family. Through Brass Roots Productions, Marc brings together decades of experience, creative partnerships, and a passion for community to produce events that celebrate music, culture, and the arts while creating meaningful connections between artists and audiences.
